What a move to Spain needs
We prepare and lodge the customs entries — but a few documents have to come from you. Here is the short list, in plain terms.
- Inventory (packing list)
- A valued, itemised list of everything moving — the base document for every customs form.
- Padrón / proof of address
- Evidence you are settling at a Spanish address, where the import requires it.
- NIE number
- Your Spanish foreigner’s identification number, needed for the import in your name.
- Passport / ID copy
- Identity for the person the household goods belong to.

Do you cover the Costas or just the cities?

What is an NIE and do I need one to move?
The NIE is your Spanish foreigner’s identification number. The customs import is usually made in your name, so you will generally need it in place. Tell us where you are at with it and we will work the timing around it.
Can you take a car or a scooter too?
Vehicles are a separate customs category with their own rules, so flag it at survey. We will tell you honestly what is practical on your leg rather than promising and unpicking it later.
